Abinoojii Gamig is the United Native Friendship Centre’s Childcare Centre licensed by the Ministry of Education.  We offer unique, culturally based programming for children ages six months to five years.  Visit our Abinoojii Gamig Facebook page for further updates.

Zaagi-idiwin Aborignal Headstart Program – licensed child care

Toddler Program – licensed child care

Toddler Program: The Toddler Program is offered to Urban Indigenous children ages 18-30 months. Opening of the Toddler Program to be determined at a later date. Click on the link posted below to access/download the Wait List Application Form (PDF).

If you cannot access the link, send an email to the Abinoojii Gamig Receptionist at agreception@unfc.org and one will be emailed to you directly, or you can stop in at our facility to pick one up.

Note: there is selection criteria for childcare spaces.  Applications are kept in the order they are received, however, priority is given in the following order to:

  • Urban Indigenous families where the parents/guardians are attending school or work full-time
  • Sole support parents who are attending school or work full-time
  • Lower income families
